Tired of categorizing the same recurring transactions manually? Set up rules that automatically categorize new transactions as they come in.
How it works:
Define conditions based on recipient name, description, amount, or account
Choose the target category and subcategory
Gomonio handles the rest
Example: Create a rule where "Recipient contains Spotify" and "Amount less than 20" automatically categorizes as Entertainment.
Pro tip: Right-click any transaction in the list and select "Create Rule" to quickly set up a rule based on that transaction's data.
Keep your finances accurate with the new review system. Mark transactions as reviewed once you've verified they're categorized correctly, and filter the list to show only unreviewed transactions.

I did lots of small bug fixes and improvements to the app. List of improvements under these texts. I also updated the banking UI to better align with new styling.
In the future, I plan on doing videos of me using the app and going over stuff that I’m doing and planning. Kind of a status updates with the GoMonio community. I just need to learn some video editing.
Now I will proceed with testing and refining. Also continuing with translations, I think we’re actually very close to version 1 of the app :)

We rebuilt our entire interface from scratch. It's now faster, more consistent, and actually looks good in the dark—something the old version couldn't handle.
What changed:
Full dark mode support – True black background with properly tuned colors that work in both light and dark themes
Mobile-first architecture – Better performance on mobile, proper touch targets, and optimized animations that don't drain your battery - Not fully compliant yet. Not really priority.
Accessibility built in – Proper focus states, keyboard navigation, and WCAG compliance across every component
Theming that actually works – All colors use CSS variables now, so switching themes is instant and seamless
Technical highlights:
Built on DaisyUI 5.5.5 + Tailwind CSS 4 for a solid foundation
Lucide Icons for all icons across the app
Smart shadow system that adapts to dark mode (more visible shadows in dark theme)
Mobile optimizations: reduced blur effects, faster animations, proper safe area handling for notched devices
This was done to improve speed of the development. It’s something that I will keep improving on little by little. I don’t make changelogs for all little changes regarding that.
Also, we did some organization for future modules. So I will be ready to implement invoicing and bookkeeping tools maybe later.

First‑time connection now fetches the last 5 days of transactions.
Duplicate detection if you’ve imported transactions manually or via CSV.
Sync process is more reliable and easier to follow.
Quick steps when connecting accounts:
Start with the default 90‑day history sync (try shorter if it fails).
After sync, click “Sync balance” to update the current balance.
If you imported transactions manually, skip history sync and only use “Sync balance.”
Tag transactions by store, salesperson, project, or other categories.
